Museo de la Cuidad's exhibition of doors

The Museo de la Cuidad (Museum of the City, Defensa 219) in Buenos Aires was created in 1968 in order to preserve and interpret the city's culture, peoples and architecture through displays.  The current exhibition of this intimate museum features doors salvaged from the more grand homes in old Buenos Aires.  Some of these 19th- and early 20th-century doors were purchased, others were donated.  If the doors and their windows were this beautiful, one wonders what the rest of the buildings were like during their prime.
